Getting an additional line to a room on my second story as well as getting my LNB replaced. I'd do it myself, but I cant get on the roof. Anyway, are there any things I should look out for in case the installer misses something? He said he has a spectrum analyzer and can cant the LNB but beyond that I'm really not sure what to ask. Been installing/repairing/dealing with satellites for many years according to him, so hopefully he'll be ok.

Thanks for any tips.

Use your receiver to verify the settings made with the meter. Check the Signal Quality readings on the weakest transponders. Make sure the readings are optimized on both horizontal and vertical polarity transponders.

Be a good idea to check and or replace the coax fitting and waterproof with dab of dielectric silicone inside the fitting and a boot or rubberized tape.
