Going from a 722K to a Hopper

I currently have a VIP722K with the OTA channel tuner
and am thinking about upgrading to a Hopper 3
My only TV is a 55" 4K
The answers I got from a chat with a Dish Agent wewre not satisfying

My requirements
1) I don't want the voice remote
I currently have 20 & 21.0 remotes with the 4 colored buttons
Will they work with the H3 ?
If not will it come with a 40 ?

2) I do want the OTA box if it is not built in to the Hopper
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area local channels are available
How do I connect my Over The Air Antenna to the H3 ?

3) How do I move my saved recordings, timers,...
effortlessly over from my 722K to the H3 ?
NB If I buy a new iPhone it is trivial to transfer info to it.
--------------
Alternate question:
If I keep my 722K, how can I activate one of the colored buttons
to easily toggle closed captioning on/off ??
right now it takes 6 or more key presses (menu, 8,6,1, sel, done, esc)

1) Order the 40 remote online, like eBay, et al
2) You need the dual tuner OTA Adapter
3) You need and EHD to transfer your recordings and I'm not even sure anymore if you can go from a 722 to a Hopper 3 with them

Guys thanks for your feedback.
I queried the guys on facebook.com/dish and the they told me I need an EHD .with at least 50GB & a USB 2.0 connector to transfer my saved movies over and the OTA tuner ( $54) and I get to manually copy down the Timers to move them over along with the list of OTA channels
All this to quick on/off of closed captioning what a PITA

Other questions: I tried to hookup an old 2.5" Seagate HD (formatted for a Apple) and it didn't recognize it, how should it be formatted. ?
How do I transfer the info from the 722K to the EHD ?
Do the Hopper 3 's still come with a 40.0 remote ?
Dish no longer lists it on their web site :-(

Someone mentioned a Universal Remote that they programmed a macro to toggle Closed captioning, what is the remote I want to buy ?

You can buy 40 remotes from Amazon and Ebay. The green button on the 40 remote will toggle Closed Captions on and off.

There’s a minimum size for EHD of 320GB on the H3.

That is the minimum size the software on the H3 will format, but it can read and use smaller drives that were previously formatted by a Dish DVR on your account. I have numerous100 and 250GB drives that are still usable by my H3, I just can't format anything smaller than the 320GB.

If the drive is seen by the H3, it will format it to the correct OS regardless of what's on the drive (all data on the drive will be wiped).

EHD must nave a single spindle, external power (even though some low power drives will work, they are not supported due to low power from the H3's USB ports), USB 2.0 minimum and be between 320GB and 2TB.

Sometimes it is best to use either a hard drive dock with an internal drive or a powered USB hub for drives without their own power supply since self powered 2TB and smaller drives are not as available as they once were.

The HD will be seen by a 722K. Currently my EHDs are formatted for Apple OS
and I should be able to borrow a USB dock with external power from my son.

Positive changes for Dish Anywhere (PC version)

I've lost closed captioning on TCM. Am I alone?
