After working with the Micro all day I've observed these bars can talk to you even before a lock. The signal bar will show a gray 45% when you have a good switch combination. If it is blank white, check your switch settings.
When panning your dish the Quality bar (still gray) will hop a bit as you get closer to your sat.
When you lock, they turn a bright green and blue.
These bars on most other receivers are useless until you are right on top of the sat alignment.
I re-scanned my whole arc today and did it all from the sofa without the use of my sat meter. Easy.

My Sonicview has a useful signal quality/strength display while panning the dish. Makes it easy to fine tune to a transponder. I hope the MicroHD has something like this while manually moving the dish using Diseqc 1.2 control. It sounds like it is pretty close though. Another fine example of being developed for the hobbyists. More kudos to Brian and crew!

The microHD & wifi router don't mix!
