THIS is correct. I confirmed last night around 7pm, that system would not allow the specialist team to approve an exception for the extra reciever in the RV. Said software glitch. Someone needs to try again today, I have called too many times already!

There was a dept at dish, we used to refer to as "the fraud dept". It then changed to E.R.T. (executive resolutions team). I believe it has changed again and not sure what it's called now.

They were the people we contacted for special situations, like multiple accounts in the same name etc. They have the ultimate authority at dish for account related issues.

Given the amount of equipment you have it may take their authorization to approve the upgrade. I want to say they're a Mon-Fri dept but not 100% on that.

I would call again tomorrow during business hours and escalate this as far as you need to get this resolved.

Scott,

I'm 0 for 3, even tried going through tech support for the last try to figure out the issue. Everything goes through smoothly including taking credit card info until they try to finalize everything and they get a "popup" saying my area can't be done (RI).

I have similar problems. The say I'm in a low beam area.

My installation is all done, it took about 2 hours, the tech replaced the LNB and switch quickly, most of the time was spent waiting for the software updates, which happens twice. I restored my settings from my 40.0 remote, at first the timers did not show up, but maybe 20 minutes later they appeared. I'm transferring back my recordings from my EHD now. The UI has a minor learning curve, but overall I like it a lot. The system is very fast and responsive, which I enjoy, and I like the new 52.0 remote too, it's smaller and slim. Overall things are going great, very happy at the moment.

Yes, that is the department I was referred to. They approved my setup, but said the system would not allow it be be authorized and push through the order. Did not know when it will be corrected. Wonder if I just authorize 5 tv's at home, then add the 6th when system works??

Here's an interesting question. Is it possible to use the touch-pad on the new dish remote with a htpc (as a mouse on a windows based one???). That would be ridiculously awesome.

Just tried again, CSR roulette got me a bad CSR this call. No update other than to wait a week, but based on the conversation with this guy up to that point, I am not 100% convinced he knew what he was talking about. Sounds like they are working on it thought, each call seems to get a quicker response that there is an issue being worked on.

I just tried again as well with the same result. I even asked if they could completely remove the 211's from my account - but still no joy. I guess no choice but to wait until later this week and hope they get this glitch resolved.

You say that remote is not out yet??? are we getting them when they are (as part of our upgrade) or is there going to be more fees for the funky touchpad remote?

If you want the 50.0 remote when its released you will be able to purchase it. There will be no other fees to use the Touchpad Remote.

LSU and Jay, let's keep updating each other as we each check in. Thanks for update.

DIRT tech was not able to help me because I do not have a CC on file. I had to use chat to order my H3. Tech will be here Tuesday the 2nd from 12:00 to 5:00 PM. Upgrading from H2 with SJ to H3 with J2. Excited about having no more recording conflicts.

It's also like going from a festiva to a mustang. Super fast. Go dawgs :)
