I just switched our VOIP provider to Ooma and have one issue with our Dish setup. We have a couple of receivers that are connected to the phone line that used to call out to Dish (no network in these rooms) and they are not dialing out successfully since the switch over. I need to set the dialing prefix to *99 and cant locate a way to put the * in the prefix.

I know Direct and others have a hidden menu that can be accessed when it brings up a dialing dialog box where you can select the * symbol.

Anyone?

Thanks!

Have you tried the format button located directly below the "7"?
??? That's for video formats.

To OP, if you have a 622/722 or like receiver:
MENU, System Setup, Installation, Phone System.

If Hopper, Menu, settings, network setup, phone line.

If he's watching any PPV the receiver will force him to dial out after a while, he has no network in the room.

You mean the * button is the format button. :)

The number pad on most if not all Dish remotes is identical to a standard phone keypad, including * and # keys.
