I had to sit my wife down in front of the TV and show her this last year. Now we're both hooked. (She got the DVD Season 1 box set for Xmas.)

"How I Met Your Mother" reminds me a lot of "Coupling" (the BBC version, not the mistake NBC put on) in the way the writers make you have to pay attention and they way they revisit a scene from different PoVs. I also like how something that was introduced in an episode will surface later on (like the Slap Bet and the way Marshall continues to collect.)

Lily - Disney Princess face with a kinky side ( Band Camp Girl lives on). Best scenes were when she was his temporary roommate and pretended to be Barney's wife to help him scare off one night stands in the morning (actually, it sounds kind of despicable in that context, but it was funny the first time I saw it....)
Robin - Gorgeous, .... and she thinks that being a one hit wonder Canadian Pop star (Let's Go To The Mall!) is worse than being a porn star.... Too funny....

Barney didn't have to pass the showcase showdown though... given his ability to exactly guess the price, he would have won both either way.
