how to run two External Hard Drives?

They keep hinting on the tech chats that this is something that they are working on. But it does not work at this time.

What would work and would be less hideous than that thing is a usb switch... ex: 2 in, 1 out per time. Almost like a KVM switch for USB. Now if you can find something that does it then you're set.

Here is one from monoprice that looks better - appears to be the same basic thing but for 2 rather than 4. And only $12.60.

That would hook 1 hard drive up to 2 devices, not 2 hard drives up to 1 device....

A usb hub works just fine. Just make sure only one device is powered at any time.

But I need a switch for 5 drives (6th soon) and 2 receivers although I don't have enough AC outlets for them all at once--current max is 3. Cheap too. Manual for now. Have used a hub for 4 drives into 1 receiver--just plug the right brick.
