Well Cablevision got my channel 766 activated and viewable...
...not I sit down to watch TV and my DVR service is out!

Again, I called Cablevision, did the customer server square
dance...indentified box...check signal strenght...confirmed the DVR
is activated...did a reBOOT again...

...then the lady discovered that there was an alert for parts of
NJ...the DVR service is down.

CAN YOU IMAGINE! The DVR doesn't friggin work!

I had a DirecTV-TIVO for years and NEVER had an issue like this.
This is Karma...Cablevision doesn't want me as a
customer...<sarcasm>they planned it so I'll miss ~Survivor~ and ~My
Name is Earl~.</sarcasm>

I'm mummbling now...

If u never had a problem with Directv the better to do would be to go back to Directv.

I want to now...I just have installs when it's freezing out.

Weird though...my DVR still wasn't working minutes ago...I did a reBOOT...nothing!
I called Cablevision again...the service tech, said their was no such service outage in my area... punched a few keys...and got the thing working right-a-way.
When I was hold for the survey "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" was playing then the line just hung up on me.

They like to do that on their customers.

I have had both cablevision and directv and had problems with both.
My in-laws have FIOS and had problems as well. No service is problem free.

Loads of problems with all services

Help my cable provider (Cable Telephone)
