I think if you were to read through this thread, it would sum it up as WAIT. For our household, it's been a plus, but I don't want to oversell it. I was using a AVR with multiple inputs and a Fire Cube, which was buggy itself. AVR inputs didn't always switch well with my Harmony remote. With my wife and visitors, it is a definite plus in our household to have one input for DISH+Streaming. I'm a fan of the Home screen, which is better than Fire Cube, especially with the inclusion of my recently recorded programs and last watched live TV channels. I don't have to bounce back and forth between DVR and Live TV as much. Add to the positives that I am only in it for $40 and have a new Hopper 3 and 3 new Joey 4s. I can always revert back to just Hopper 3 use if I get too frustrated. Don't see that happening. On the be aware list, a few things. The very fast skip back/forward is broken presently. Takes 2-3 seconds per action versus immediate before. Same with channel changes. This needs to be in a software update, like yesterday. I'm also getting a very slight skip forward during playback of any DVR or On Demand recording. It happens maybe every 15 minutes and isn't a big deal but should have been seen and fixed in the beta testing. And my Harmony Elite is out of service as DISH hasn't provided any updates to Logitech, and my bet is they won't. Or Logitech will have sunset their service anyway. That said, my Harmony isn't needed anymore with one input for 90% of use. I don't have the always on HDR issue with my televisions, so that isn't in my way. Lastly, I've seen the streaming TV offerings like YTTV or Hulu, and I just think overall DISH has great hardware that is easy to use, and it doesn't strain my sometimes strained internet out here in the country. I'm a sports fan, and live sports streamed isn't ready for prime time for every household. Overall, I'm happy with most of it, and when they fix the skip, I'll be a fan. But I would definitely advise people to wait a few months. The tech experience for me was 3 visits. Was put out there WAY too soon and causing unnecessary frustration.
