I have been thinking about buying a System but have some questions that I hope maybe some people here can answer.

Is there a website where I can go and look at the channels that are available.

Where is a good place to buy a system at.

What system would you recomend.

What is the differance between KU and C bands

Thanks....

1. http://www.lyngsat.com/freetv/United-States.html
You would get most of the green channels that say DVB (five digit Freq.)
2. I will need to think about that one....... : )
3. Satwork 3688 or PANSAT (both have blind/smart scan)
4. C band needs a VERY large dish 6-10 feet(Pink channels on above list with four digit freq.)
Ku band you can use a 30" dish.

Hope this helps keep the questions coming if you have them or you want me to elaborate on any of the above.

I have a Pansat 1500 with a SG2100 motor and Winegard 30" dish

C-band is the old style satellite. You need at least a 6 foot dish to receive it.
KU Band is a minimum of 30" for the dish

If you got the real estate, I would put up BOTH :D
