I think communication like this should be mandatory so that consumers can make informed choices before signing a longterm contract. But in dish's case it would be easier to list the stations they are not fighting with....

Sounds very informational. I bet this is to have them be prepared to fight for specific carriage agreements. Off the top of my head, premiums are usually top of the list. I'd bet they'd get a bigger outcry for lost Starz over Zap2It.

This is "standard" with cable. I've gotten those from TW when I had them many years ago. They've also put out newspaper ads with the same info.

Oceanic T-W carrying all channels of the Pac-12 network is the reason I'm switching to them from DISH this Friday.

Uverse has a webpage that lists what up coming channels could be dropped if a contract is not negotiated.
