Input Timing Unknown Message

When I try to use the HDMI port on my Insignia TV, I get a message that says the Input timing is unknown. When I use the standard audio/video cables,everything is fine. This appears to be TV related and not Directv.Has anyone had similar problems. When I get that message, all I get is a blank screen.

Did you try switching the source resolution to 1080i?

I have all resolutions selected and have tried with native on and off.Same problem. Asked my friendly TV and Geek Squad folks at Best Buy and all I got was open mouths and dropped jaws.

You may also want to try a different HDMI cable.

If nothing helps, you may have a broken HDMI port on either end. Do you have another HDMI source (DVD, BR, PS3) to try with this TV set?
