Is there a way to contact the local TWC installer BEFORE placing an order???

Greetings!

I am switching to TWC (mostly because Dish is dropping AMC and the War Department, aka she who must be obeyed, must have that channel but also because I pay way too much for the few channels we actually watch) so I want to discuss some wiring location and receiver options with the local person who will actually be involved in the installation but all I can find are local TWC numbers than get routed to call centers and those folks won't give me the number of the 'installation team' unless I place an order. Can anyone give me the trick to getting through to the installers? Thanks and have a great day.

Track one down in your neighborhood ? Schedule the installation and discuss these things with him/her before any work is started ?

If you want to know what receivers are available, I'd suggest AVS Forums and find the HDTV thread for your "city" (it will be under Los Angeles). People there will be more familiar with cable TV options than you'll see here (hence the name of this site ).
