In some of the rural areas of the Minneapolis market there were still translators that were analog. Well a couple did upgrade this week

KFTC Channel 26 has upgraded its digital TV service for KMSP and WFTC from SD to HD the week of September 29 for the Bemidji area with a new channel line-up. This upgrade will ensure all viewers will have access to the highest quality HD signal in their homes.

The new, upgraded digital channel lineup for KMSP AND WFTC is as follows:
· 26.1 = KMSP-HD FOX
· 26.2 = WFTC-HD My Network TV
· 26.3 = Movies! – SD

The KMSP Translator serving the Brainerd area, K48IF, will upgrade from analog to HD digital and carry the same programming as KFTC. Viewers should tune to Channel 48 first to reveal the new line-up.

The KMSP translator serving the Walker area, K49CU, will also upgrade from analog to HD digital and carry the same programming as KFTC. Viewers should tune to channel 49 to reveal the new line-up.

This is the debut of WFTC in the Brainerd and Walker areas. It is also the debut of the Movies! Subchannel, which presents classic films, to Bemidiji, Brainerd and Walker.

That will be nice as at the lake house we only had CBS & PBS (25 miles from Brainerd). We did get analog Fox from Duluth via a translator about 18 miles away. Previously KFTC was only MyNetwork and 480i

also to note in Bemidji the Fox station was analog (as is ABC)
Bemidji, even though they are 200 miles away from Minneapolis, are still the Mpls DMA
