Live Retailer Chat Recap - October 16, 2008

Is hosting corporate training videos really that big of a resume-builder?

There is no limit to the number of stupid comments on SatelliteGuys that have nothing to do with the thread:

Dish's customer base is going fall like their stock at this rate..

charlie is so shallow he makes paris hilton look deep :D

Dish is being ran into the damn ground and Chuck couldn't give a crap....

Reading skills are so poor that many of you could not even notice that Charlie was not there.

Adrian777 - if Paris Hilton's energy policy proposals had been followed for the previous 20 years, then the economy and foreign policy situation of the US would be a lot better than it is now:

Paris Hilton Announces Candidacy With “Hot” New Energy Proposal // Archives // ecorazzi.com :: the latest in green gossip

PS When Dgenx321 and VinceT3 are within one million places of Charlie's position on the Richest Americans list, then they can comment about his business strategies. Until then, they should limit themselves to complaining about their service (which they have every right to complain about, since they pay for it).

If Scott created an automated program to post:

No new national HD today, Charlie sucks !

then most of you would not have to bother visting the site at all - since that is all you ever have to say ! ;)

So they are now announcing that they plan on transitioning everybody over to EA unless you live on the west coast, even if you have SD channels and do not plan on going with HD? Does this mean that they plan on installing all new customers on EA soon? What about the SD locals on 129? Those are currently MPEG-2 and they plan on going spot beams with the new satellite launch.

I'm not sure from whence the idea originated that everyone would be on EA except for the West Coast. That isn't the case. Existing customers aren't being transitioned anywhere. Only new customers even qualify for EA installs. We know that in Texas, some cities will be on EA and some on WA. Texas is pretty far from the West Coast.
