I inherited a 3 lnb Directv system with one receiver. I added a receiver this weekend.

the dish is hard to reach so I put a multiswitch on the single (!? someone did not run both coax leads) coax from the dish and fed the old receiver and the new one. Now only one receiver works at a time, the message on the other one is 722 searching for satellite?

Any suggestions on how to get both to work simultaneously?

Run another cable from the dish to the new receiver. Disconnect the mutiswitch.

If you go up there, you might as well run all 4 lines from the dish for future use.

Is there any way to avoid climbing up to a three storey high roof.
You could learn to fly? You might want to pay someone else to do the climbing unless you like high places. :)
