I recently heard that DirecTV will be switching to new 33" dishes for HD that will allow signals to be received from satellite locations ranging from 95 to 119. Can anyone confirm this and state when it is expected to happen?

With this change, would the existing HD channels on 119 be moved to another satellite location? Is the satellite at 95 higher on the horizon on middle of the East Coast than 119, which is hard to get?

What exactully are on the 119 satellite? If it's just locals, there would be no need for a dish to "reach" all 5 positions. If ya live in the 72.5 locals, like me, I'd only need 72.5-110. & if ya lived in the 119 locals, you just need the 95-119. Am I missing something? It'd be nice to reach them all, I guess, but it almost sounds like overkill...

That must be the new 5 lnbf dish that they are coming out with. I guess DirecTv thinks if Dish Network can get away with a SuperDish then so can they.
