New Reciever, Remote problem

I just upgraded to the 625 DVR and after less than 24 hours my remote goes dead. Works the tv fine but doesn't work the reciever at all. Other than calling Dish for a replacement is there any quick fixes for this FRIGGIN annoying ass problem?

when you press any button on the remote, does the "sat" button on the top left of the remote light up?

Have you gone into sys. info to see if your on the right address for the remote?

Everything appears to be working correctly. The dish rep said they'd send me a new one. The SAT button does flicker when used so I'm mystified.

Yeh I went through all of that jazz with the rep on the phone. The stupid remote won't change the IR channel I'm on so he thinks it dead. Which by the way (he) was really helpful and nice to boot.

go into system info screen see if some how your remote addey changed

Also try leaving batterys out over night..

press and hold the white sat button until all white buttons light up. Press the numbers 01 and the # button. See if that works.
