FOX: 2024, 2028, 2032
NBC: 2025, 2029, 2033
ESPN/ABC: 2026, 2030

There is a law that makes sure those games air in local tv stations for the home and away teams

The NFL wants to finalize new TV rights agreements with partners before setting its 2021 salary cap. A deal could reach $100 billion.

This will SUCK BIG TIME ....
IF Sunday Ticket is Gone ... (and no one has that package) it would mean that people can no longer watch ALL THIER Teams games ...
They said above that :
The NFL touted the fact that it continues to be the only sports league that delivers all of its games – regular-season and playoffs – on free, over-the-air television.
But that is not true, if a ST package is not available.
If I am a fan of say 2 different teams ... I have to sub to Disney (I'm sure espn and ABC will go streaming for thier games as well) Peacock for the NBC games, CBS ALL Access/Paramont, Fox, Amazon, and any others that they try to move thier games too.
Thats means you have to have subs to all those different apps to watch 1 or 2 teams .... IF that happens, they will lose a ton of fans that don't want to have 5 different subscriptions to watch thier team play.
This is the reverse of making games accessible.

That was my thought as well... You have CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, ABC, Amazon for the regular season, then later in the contract, an exclusive game on ESPN+ (Sunday morning international game) and an exclusive game on Peacock that is separate from the other games. And in there, there are still a couple of random games on NFL Network. Even though it is just a couple games a year later on that are streaming exclusive, there are some 15-17 exclusive Amazon streaming games and those games are only available OTA in local markets.
If those streaming games end up being the bottom of the barrel games, so be it - I probably wouldn't tune in anyways. But you have to wonder if they will throw in a mid year high level matchup so that those who want to watch the game would need to subscribe to the streaming service.
It's good to see all the options, but having all these options could lead to football fatigue with extra windows and games and the return won't be what they expect. Maybe me and my friends are in the small majority, but this past year when the extra wild card games were added to make it 3 a day, neither I nor my friends sat down and watched all 3 games. Usually we are "all-in" for the 4 games, but this year it was more like 2 games total that we were all in for, and we watched part of a 3rd.
The current contract with DIRECTV doesn't expire for two years (end of 2022 regular season).

Right, with the big difference being that the national games are going to be exclusively on a subscription streaming service for the first time. The NFL is a national sport, a lot more than MLB. And, it's not folding anytime soon.
