Hey,
I called voom this morning to check and make sure they are still doing installs. When I called, I tried both number 2 and 3... 2 immedaietly disconnected, and 3 gave me a message telling me there were technical diffivulties at this time.

Strange stuff, anyone else expiriencing this?
i used 866.931.8666(voom)

O good, haven't tried again, but my installer called and said he was out of multi switches and postponed my install for until this weekend. Which is probably good considering the ammount of rain that has been coming down, he'd never be able to find the satellite anyway.

On the other hand, he would have to aim it perfectly through the rain to get the signal, so if he got it locked in at all you probably wouldn't be getting rain fade ever again.

I've had good luck regarding the dreaded "rain fade" here in Huntington Beach, Ca. Only had it once in that last deluge we had during Christmas. My DirecTV dish also experienced it at the same time.If you have OTA channel 7.3 in L.A. has a doppler radar map that is live; very interesting.
