Doesn't Dish sell an OTA USB Tuner directly? Mine hasn't worked for 2 weeks so I unplugged it and tried to make it work but the Hopper doesn't recognize it anymore, so I figured it died. Tech support did the same things I already did and were no help whatsoever. They told me to contact the manufacturer--as if I know who that is, the dongle says Dish on it! Then she tried to sell me an indoor antenna for $44.99.........what good is that going to do me without a tuner that works?!

With this type of support, I don't know why I even keep Dish.

WELCOME to CSR Roulette! You’ve been here long enough to know that term.

Whoever you bought it from, demand a refund or replacement. I assume you haven’t had it too long.

DISH very briefly had it listed on their website but apparently discovered it ran hot and failed. They still have the DISH name on the product and assumably the standard 1 year warranty. Now the retailer has to back up their sales and the consumer has to search for the seller.

I ended up getting one from a friend who still had the single tuner one he didn't use anymore. I voiced my complaint at ceo@dishnetwork.com about being given no real help and then offered to buy an indoor antenna...some guy tried to call me and then left an email for me to call him. I'm not bothering call. I wanted my complaint known is all. They won't do anything to help you anyway.

You might be missing out on something if you don't call him, but that's your call.
I agree. Definitely try to get the dual-tuner OTA adapter if Dish will offer you that.
