well everything is still up right now

I can't tell if the H feeds (12163, 12169, 12175) are MPEG4 or not. The micro doesnt distinguish that

those are feed channels that usually are color bars. Tripinva has a list (might not be 100% current) on his rabbitears website (and he's posted it here before)
SD05,06,07 are those channels
RabbitEars.Info

Yeah all looks the same here as it has for the last month or so.

I bet a station or two requested an extension so they could get their equipment changed. That hasn't done it yet for whatever reason.

Montana has been H264 I think since they went S2

The info I have read and posted in like post 2 or 3 mentions July 31st as when the MPEG2 would be shut off

Still DVB-S/MPEG2 as of today (from HD04 showing Doctor Who):
VideoID : 49 (0x31)
Menu ID : 3 (0x3)
Format : MPEG Video
Format version : Version 2
Format profile : Main@High

Right now we have on transponder 23 four channels: 12150@14029, 12163@4444, 12167@4444, and 12175@4444. They are supposed to add a HD05 to that transponder as well. I wonder if it will be changed to be more like transponder 24 where you have one channel and multiple streams.

looking at a PBS chart it looks like those channels on TP23 will be separate
it says "Individual SCPC Carriers"

Dont know the frequency yet but you can usually fit 2 DVB-S2 HD channels in the same spot as a MPEG2 one. If you look at this chart you'll see kinda how its set up
1st page is current
2nd page is what it will look like

Thanks Iceberg. So it looks like they are splitting the old HD04 space into HD04 and HD05 and leaving SD05-SD07 alone to be DVB-S or DVB-S2 depending on the uplinker. In fact, doing some googling, the new HD04/HD05 usage has been seen but only for testing for a short period of time:

12145.5 H 6239 DVB-S2 8PSK 3/4, HD04 on VPID 49 H264 12.5 Mbps, APIDs on 52,53,54
12155.0 H 6239 DVB-S2 8PSK 3/4, HD04 on VPID 49 H264 12.5 Mbps, APIDs on 52,53,54

Looks like they are testing again. Found HD04 and HD05 on the new frequencies. HD04 had the usual PBS NOC color bar pattern, HD05 just had color bars with no identification.
