Now that NPS has been gone for 8 months does anyone notice the calmness with c band. Every time we turned around last few years NPS was pulling c band down. Too bad NPS was a player at all. I would bet the masters would still be up and running if SRL had all of the subs. NPS slowly forced pizza on many for years and destroyed our numbers then put the big kill out last year. I hope Mike Mountford & Charlie Ergan are proud of themselves for what they will go down in history for.

BTW I wonder how Sobongo is doing, did they screw their new followers yet ?? :shocked

It is calm and steady, nice for a change. I lost a *ton* of cash with all the changes last year, pro-rated my foot!

Too bad we don't have 30 million subs like Directv.

Did NPS stiff you at the end?
They tried. They told me the big dish was dead & no more subscriptions were going to be sold & the only way to get what I currently had was to get the Dish Network at nearly triple the price. This was 9 months before the DCII signal was shut off. I fought with them & refused their deal. That's when I started subscribing to SRL. Even to this day, I'm not sure if I will ever subscribe to the small dish. I can get most everything I want off SRL or the internet.
On a different note & one that might not be appropriate for this posting is the OTA signals may now have a date that they too will soon be gone.

Not directly, I lost programming through SatCommSource (NPS reseller) when they closed their doors.

At the end of last year, NPS wouldn't sell to me directly, kept trying the hard sell to Dish, SatCommSource did sell but then closed.

Yeah, thats a familiar story.

I'd been with SRL for a while by then though.

I've seen others post this opinion as well. I don't know, but it looks to me (in my area anyway) that OTA just keeps getting better & better with more and more channels. And the channels are actually channels worth watching.

From a political stand point alone, I don't believe that OTA will ever be gone. Just look at the lengths the feds were willing to go to during the digital transition. That wouldn't seem to be the actions of people who aren't committed to keeping free OTA available to the masses.

Cheers

It keeps getting better here also and I find myself watching more from the antenna than ever.

I have 18 channels OTA currently including RTV, MeTV, thisTV, Antenna TV and I read that TUFF TV is coming.

Qwest will be happy to provide you with fiber for the low price of $1,440 per month.

sure let me go out and find that money tree

I'd ask for a government buyout but then the thread would go downhill ;)
