Popcorn Hour BD network playback

Well, here is my cart. Just gotta think on it a little more ;)

The WD drive is actually a 4TB, but Id use it as 2TB RAID :)

Here is a kink. The oppo 93 will play MKV, could I not just buy the drives and do the playback with the oppo instead of buying the PCH? Is MKV good for 1:1 and hd audio?

Just looked at the FAQ, the oppo actually plays iso too.

Aha!

Oppo does iso off ehd, uses the Marvell chip and supports hd audio. Awesome, so I need no popcorn, just the raid drive and bd drive. Saweet.

Dunno how I missed out on this for so long.

The only thing that I see the PCH do that the Oppo does not do is PCH has network access. Looks like as long as you stick to EHDs you will be fine.

I am up to about 15 TB of ripped ISOs now. I have the entire SGA series to rip and a couple more box sets that came in.... Probably will be pushing 16TB.

I have selected SGA episodes, & most of SGU (from disc & Hauppauge) ST TOS S1, and selected SG-1 episodes plus all the SG movies along with Caprica in my Scifi folder of one drive which also has a Space folder, funny commercials & other stuff ... I'm only sitting on about 10 TB or so ... have a separate small drive with the entire Battlestar Galactica series on ...
