PROGRAMMING UPDATE: Additional Adult Showcase Launch

Effective today, April 10, 2008, DISH Network launched an additional Adult Showcase offering on channel 486 from the 110° orbital location, expanding the current showtimes for this PPV product. This additional offering, like the existing Adult Showcase, will allow customers access to the following five adult services for a three hour block of programming at a cost of $17.99:

Shorteez: Channel 487
Club Jenna: Channel 491
Spice: Xcess Channel 492
Clips: Channel 494
Penthouse TV: Channel 495

The current Adult Showcase (channel 485) and additional Adult Showcase (channel 486) offer 3 hour blocks of programming beginning at the following times:

Channel 485: 6:00 am ET
Channel 486: 7:30 am ET

9:00 am ET
10:30 am ET

12:00 pm ET
1:30 pm ET

3:00 pm ET
4:30 pm ET

6:00 pm ET
7:30 pm ET

9:00 pm ET
10:30 pm ET

12:00 am ET
1:30 am ET

3:00 am ET
4:30 am ET

Please note that although the Adult Showcase channel(s) when purchased will authorize the individual adult services included, customers must go to the individual channels to access the programming. Blackouts may apply.

If customers implement the Adult Guard feature, this channel will not be visible in their EPG.

Actually...

I am hearing a rumor that Dish Network will be the first to carry the new Hustler HD Channel. Larry Flint flew up to Denver a few weeks ago for meetings with Dish. (And a few days later TEN was changed to the Hustler Channel.)

No word on when this new HD channel will launch. Perhaps SOON whenever that is.

I think you may be confused with PenthouseTV. TEN and Penthouse into an agreement last fall. TEN changed into Penthouse. There is a Penthouse SD and HD version available. TEN is owned by New Frontier Media, another Colorado company near DISH. HustlerTV is owned by TEN Broadcasting Inc. in Canada. HustlerTV is on Canada's StarChoice service.

I saw a billboard last summer for a porn shop, with the slogan "...it's cheaper than dating!"

The best part is, this billboard was in Englewood, CO (near the Dish Network headquarters).
