I have an opportunity to buy 3 Tivos.
A phillips dsr704 ,samsung s4040r and the rca model of series 2 dtv tivo.
My Question,Do all Tivos have the same inerface?
As far as the guide and menu?
Are any of the above better or worse than the other?
I have checked out an R10 and it seemed kinda slow.

I hate the peanut remotes, but i have a couple of RC23's that should work with the tivos.

Thanks for any comments?

the 3 tivos models you mentioned are pretty much all the same except one is made by phillips orthe samsung and third rca
i think youll need to use the peanut remote or buy a universal remote
i use the sam 2000 urc made by samsung

hmmmm
i thought the rc23 would do all DTV receivers.....
Has anybody tried to get the rc23 to operate a Tivo?

hmm i dont know ive never heard of rc23 i presume its new white unversal dtv remote
i bet you may be able to get remote to function with tivos as long as rc23 has a leaning feature

Yea.
It looks like the D10 remotes.
Just has a lot more codes for more devices.

hmm, looked into this further and i cant find any information about rc23 remote and learning capabilities.
Does any know if the rc23 remote is a learning remote?
if so, what are the sequence of codes?

yes it should work with tivo, if you go to directv website and find the page that shows the new remotes they sell and click on the remote their is a diagram that show what buttons work for tivo.
