Question about the little red button

Is there any well to tell what picture quality is being cycled through as you push the button? Aside from the obvious, "what does the picture look like", but is there any way to know for sure you are in 1080i?

If you are on version 6.20, you can set the resolution in the Installation Wizard instead of using the Red Button. However, if you want the Native mode (where the output resolution follows the source), you still need to use the Red Button.
