One of my screens here.. exactly half the image is much darker than the other half and now its impossible to read any text off that side.

Anyone seen this happen? Been googlin' for a while to no avail. Shouldnt be surprised but I had to hang up w/ Samsung support over the amateurish tech steps.

Pictures would be helpful.

My guess is that you are having a backlight failure. The spec sheet says "Wide Color Gamut-CCFL", which means flourescent backlight. I am thinking it is multi-section, and one of the sections is failing. If that is the case, it probably isn't worth fixing.

Weird... i set it to dynamic from normal, then unplugged the tv for 5 seconds and now its bright as normal.
One half the screen was normal, the other half was much darker.. still going to replace it
