I have a Hopper w/sling and I am considering switching to the Hopper 3. I currently have a solo node 185834. Will it work with the Hopper 3 or do I need a different solo node and if so which one?

I only have one HDTV, no joeys. My Dish is on the roof. I guess that the lnb will probably need changing also. I do not know what type it is, but it works with my HWS.

You need a solo hub and a hybrid LNB. If you have no Joeys I believe you don’t require the solo hub but you will need the hybrid LNB or a DPH 42 switch to use your existing LNB.

The hybrid pro lnb for Western arc has been discontinued. What replaces it. Also, it says I need a 1000.2 Dish. How do I tell what number my Dish is?

Where our wheels go
Press "Menu" twice on your remote and see what switch is listed. It will most likely show either a DPP 1K2 or a DPP 1K4. There are no hybrid LNB's for the 1K4 (1000.4), but the western arc hybrid triple LNB's for the 1K2 (1000.2) are readily available from several online sources including Amazon. If you have a 1K4, a DPH42 switch can be used to convert it for hybrid use.
