Apple seems to make some kind of announcement to take off any shine at CES. This one probably not needed as the smart watches I've read about are nothing to write home about. With that said I'm looking forward to the Apple Watch.

That isn't really surprising is it? Only so much battery can be packed into a device that size.

I thought the Apple Watch would wake up out of sleep mode when turn or raise your wrist?
I wonder how much the iPhone battery will suffer when connected to the watch.

Too bad the watch doesn't have a solar cell like my Casio g-shock does. It has a battery, but the watch face is a solar cell, and when it is totally dark and the watch hasn't been used for awhile, it shuts down. It also has an atomic radio, so it always comes back on (just by putting it under a lamp or going into a lit room) quickly, and with precise time.

Two and a half hours battery life for heavy use it's not that good. My pebble lasts me at least 5 days

And when people first get it they are going to use it constantly, and thus kill the battery quickly. Seems like a marketing / PR nightmare in the making.
