Looks like HBO is getting ready to release their first HD DVDs:
The Sopranos: Season 6, Part 1 - on Nov. 7, same day with SD version
Priced at $129.95 ($99.95 for SD). Supposed to be an HD DVD exclusive.

That's a great rumor (Movie not the tv show) and I hope it's true. Isn't that a Fox program? We probably won't see it on HD DVD until Sony throws up the white flag.

BTW, you might want to add Truman Show & Team America: World Police as possible for Paramount. It's on their HD DVD trailer at the beginning of each of their movies.

Looks like there are rumors about possible 'Mission Impossible: Ultimate Missions Collection' on both HD-DVD and Blu-ray. Amazon lists them as coming out on October 30.

According to HighDefDigest, on October 24, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will add five top catalog titles to its growing HD DVD lineup, including the highly-anticipated favorites '12 Monkeys' and the 1982 remake of 'The Thing.'

Also among the studio's Halloween-timed announced are 'Out of Sight,' a rescheduled 'The Interpreter' (bumped from its original August 22 release date) and the Stanley Kubrick classic 'Spartacus.'

Technical specs are impressive, too: in addition to the standard widescreen transfers and 1080p video, Universal has produced new Dolby TrueHD soundtracks for all of its October 24 releases except 'Spartacus.'

Blockbuster online has The Break Up 10/17, Exotic Saltwater Acquarium 9/23, and Fast & the Furious : Tokyo Drift 9/23.

Keep in mind they still list the Interpreter as 8/22.

Can't wait for the Thing! That was an awesome movie, and I hope they do as good of a job as Blazing Saddles on such a great title!!!
