The Voice

I was thinking about the challenges she will face; the show will propel her career, but she will have to probably forfeit a normal high school senior year (and just get tutors and a GED or the such), and college will be an even bigger challenge. Still, such a bright future for a very talented young girl.

This show totally would not be the same without Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Those two alone make the show better than the X Factor or American Idol or whatever it is this season. I think they tend to get a lot more talent on the Voice anyway.

Agreed. Adam and Blake's bromance provides a great deal of entertainment, although Usher gives Adam a run for his money. :)

I wish they could just keep this spring's judges and send Christina and Ceelo packing.

One interesting thing - this spring with Shakira there was a flurry of latina artists, all doing music in Spanish in the early rounds - and not one of them made it far in the competition. Are we likely to see that continue, or was that jury-rigged by the producers in selecting people for Shakira to push her button for?

After the recent announcement that Jessie J would not return to the BBC singing competition for its third season, the show and Irish singer Danny O'Donoghue on Tuesday also announced his exit.

A little surprising, but Tom Jones and will.i.am are the most popular, I believe. The coaches were also paid an outrageous amount by UK standards, which I am sure is now a sticking point.

Bradbery appeared on the "Today" show on Wednesday (July 17) to perform "The Heart of Dixie" publicly for the first time. The song, which was made available for purchase on Tuesday, is already No. 1 on the iTunes country chart.

Here is the studio version

Interesting type of video, compared with Cassadee Pope's video that came out this week. In many ways, both girls still just look starry-eyed at what has happened to them (for Cass not from her video, but from the things she posts on FB and instagram.

The difference of course, is the Danielle is still a teenager, and hasn't even graduated high school. Cassadee can let her career take her wherever at this point.

Here is Cassadee's Wasting All these tears

Swon Brothers kick off 1st tour in Tulsa to a full house

The singing duo played their first "Swon-Cert" to a full house at the Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

"The support has been overwhelming and we feel very loved and we can't wait to put out more music," Zach Swon said.

The brothers say they are now living in Nashville and hope to bring a fresh sound to country music when they make their first album.

Cassadee's second single from her forthcoming album is pretty good. I think it crosses over fairly well too; country but not twangy, could have been billed as a pop song.

I am surprised she took as long as she did to get the album out; Danielle Bradbury will apparently have her first album out this fall as well. Much faster pace. Even more surprising, since she is still in high school.

Same here, that's one irritant on the Voice I could do without along with the hashtags etc ... (not just the voice but all programs).

amen, that's starting to turn me off of a lot of shows. Would prefer to wait for dvd/bluray or not watch at all. Some things I dvr but wait and watch off Hulu as most times all the twitter and facebook mumbojumbo is gone.
