I wonder what the ratings were for the finale this year? That would give us some indication whether it does come back or not.

According to tvbythenumbers, 1.8 and a 5 share and 7.5 million viewers. About half the audience of Blacklist. I don't follow the numbers so I don't how they compare to the rest of the season. Only the suits at CBS know if the numbers work. I suspect it will return, possibly with a shorter run. Stephen King's involvement may factor in too.

This show would never do well in a regular fall seaon. Only because there is no new stuff in the summer is why it does as good as it did.

Blacklist last Monday had 12.5, so Dome was better than half.

Ballparking the numbers. I'm actually surprised how well they did head to head with Blacklist. CBS probably should have finished up the Dome episodes before the fall season kicked off. I still think it will be back next summer.

Well since Jim killed off the science lady, the next season probably would not be a crisis of the week - Dome vs Science. I suppose I would watch another season since it has no competition in the summer.

Renewed. Interesting tidbit about the payments from Amazon. It's not just ratings anymore.

Now we all get to speculate where the Melanie light tunnel goes... Maybe it leads to where the egg is and another dome will form there?

With any luck, they'll all end up in here, and get eaten. GREAT Stephen King twist, and could happen since he's stolen every idea he's ever written about.

Stolen every idea? Ok, whatever you say. Just not buying that.

But Do remember, this tv show has long departed from King's novel. The train left King's station about 2 episodes into season 1.

Big Jim, Barbie, Junior and the rest of the Chesters Mill crew will be back next week Thursday for the 2 hour season premier. This year Marg Helgenberger joins the cast of this dysfunctional laughing stock.

So did anyone actually understand anything at all about last nights episode?

I loved how Junior was shot in the shoulder, and there was only blood around in entrance wound. The rest of his white tshirt was spotless. Even with a shot up shoulder he was able to crawl on that ladder pretty good, Also loved how it was Julia's other leg/knee that she was grabbing in pain in the beginning of the second hour. Not the one with the bandage on top of her jeans.

Looks like next week a bunch of stuff is revealed

That was due to her falling in the hole, quite possibly hurting THAT leg, not necessarily the leg she had bandaged up.

Btw, they made it sound like when the story picked up it was 1 year later ... why would Julia still have a bandaged up leg, either the bullet (think it was from her getting shot, probably Big Jim from last year) was removed and the leg healed, Or, the bullet wasn't removed and she probably shouldn't be around any longer.

And Yes, Alot was revealed this week.
