Uniden UST 4800 repair help

I did have a dead uniden receiver but now the display is dim.
Does anyone have repair tips for uniden receivers?
I remember something about caps needing changing out. Thanks.

Your best bet for this receiver is to junk it out. Uniden combined their circuitry and made it very hard to repair. I have four or five that are better than that 4800.
