What is the official option for 2nd and 3rd TVs in a VOOM home assuming VOOM is the only service?

Please ~don't~ include OTA, lifeline cable, or satellite as answer...VOOM service only.

Hi have 2 receivers and pay $9.50 per month per receiver. My initial thought
was that it was expensive until I realized Time Warner Cable charges 7.95
per month for it's HD receiver.

My daughter has a regular tv and the voom picture even looks great on her
set :)

HTH,

Robert

Same here, one HD and one analog. Heck, the analog set isn't even using the S-Video or composite output. Just plain channel 3 hookup, and the picture is outstanding. It does cost the 9.95/month for the extra box rental (if renting) and an extra $5.00/month for the extra connection. More than two would require a multiswitch, but i think voom includes it.

Exactly - that's a significant part of why I switched. I was paying
about $70 per month to TW for basic cable + digital service on 2 boxes
(some mid-tier channels like TechTV and Discovery Wings, but no HBO,
Cinemax, Starz, etc. premium stuff). If I had added HDTV, the cost
would have been even more. The price was higher, and my picture was
mediocre. So I ditched one box and now I'm looking at $50 for basic
Voom, with a great picture (when its not raining).

Yeah - I only have a little SD TV - maybe 24". I plan to get an HDTV in
a month or two. In the mean time, I'm just watching the same picture in
better quality, and saving about $20 per month.

There's a few channels I miss, but not enough that I'm going to pay to
have both subscriptions at the same time. After playing with Voom about
an hour, I started unhooking the cable boxes.

The main channels I'd like to see are Discovery Science, Discovery
Wings, and maybe TechTV (they just merged with G4, and I'm a lot less
interested in the new programming line up). The SciFi channel would be
nice. NASA TV would be cool too. TW didn't have Boomerang at all, and
the Tennis channel was in a premium package, so altogether, its not
bad. A lot of people are hooked on the HGTV and BBC America shows like
Changing Rooms - I've just never gotten into that, so I don't miss it.
I'm sure, in terms of sheer numbers, that's the main missing item on
Voom that most people want to see.

I'm sure in the "Loose the MOOV Channel" club - what a waste of
bandwidth. Its not even that good as an "in store" demo channel. I
doubt bandwidth is the constraint currently, though.
