Front projector

My vote is for a front projector. I have an Infocus X1 and I love it. There's nothing like watching DVD's and HDTV on a 106" diagonal screen. You can buy a 720p HD LCD projector for less than $1500, the Panasonic 500. The Sanyo Z2 LCD is about $1500. In a room that big, even a 65" RPTV would be too small.

I did 2+ years worth of research before I bought a widescreen display to complete my home theater system. In that time I too discovered that not all plasma displays are created equal. Color fade is a problem with plasma (and pixel burn-out), pixel burn-out is also a problem with RP-LCD. Stuck mirrors can occur with DLP, but it's extremely rare. Front projectors are very nice, but you need the wall space to throw the image onto. So, the only issue I could find with RP-DLP was a lamp replacement every 8,000 hours or so. That's why I bought one.
