free 622

You should be able to get it for the $99 DVR upgrade fee, I was supposed to, things went real bad so they waived the fee. All I did was ask, nicely.

Edit: I received a 722, not 622. There is a $100 rebate involved which was applied immediately by the ceo dude. So the original deal was 199-100=$99 for the 722 installed(new line from sat).

I recently worked with CEO@Echostar when my account was completely jacked up.

I had called for a price using Dishin it up to get a 2nd HD DVR. Been a customer about 18 mo and just about out of my commitment.

When I called they told me I was only a customer for less than 30 days, au contraire, I explained when I signed up but I don't speak Hindi well enought to be understood so I just emailed CEO.

I got a very prompt reply and there is no valid explanation about what happened to my account, including why NHL CI was dropped.

After we got it all straight I asked my original question about the cost of another HD DVR and was told $149 and she was willing to take my credit card info on the spot.

I was a little disturbed that they give these away to new customers but I am paying exactly what I had to pay for the first one so I declined the offer.

I'm still pondering what to do, when my commitment ends I may have to shop around to see what kind of deal I can get and what kind of leverage I will have as a customer thinking about leaving.

sadly thats the only way you can seem to get a deal with any company these days.

When I left Comcast, I was willing to stay and ADD the Phone service if they would give me the triple play price on my internet ($12/month discount for 1 year), and I would add the $33 phone package. They wouldnt give me a break on teh internet.

So as I was reestablishing my phone service, with my local company, they offered me a great deal on 3 MBS DSL for about the same price as I wanted Comcast to give me my internet for, So I took that.

I got off the phone, and realized i was free of comcast and could get Dish, too, and it would probably save me money or cost the same (wife doesnt like bigger bills).

After I had everything set up, new phone, internet and dish installed, I called Comcast to get disconnect, they literally offered me the moon to stay.. but i was already gone.

Too bad you cant get the best "deal" from anyone till your 2 steps out the door

were you by chance bundled with your phone company when you started and cancle your phone services or just recently have your dishnetowrk account bundled with your phone company? this might make it look like your account is only 30 days old if it happened in the last month.

If you are a long time good on time paying customer.how do you get dish to give you a free 622 thru the ceo@dishnetwork.com address.

You aren't gonna get 622 for free ($49 after rebate) or a 722 ($99 after rebate).

I had to go through a contact I made with executive team at @echostar.com, when I was having problems with my nhl ci billing. I called the offshore csr and the they told me I couldn't have a 722 or 622 upgrade because I already have 211, 625 and 311. BUT they offerred to sell me one for $650.00 installed.

Anyways I emailed my contact at the executive staff, told him all I wanted to was upgrade the 625 to a 722. He made all the install arrangements for me. Immediately credited my account for $100 upon installation (no waiting for rebate). Also the Dish tech, was great and did alot of rewiring for me, so I was able to drop the 311 (saving the extra receiver fee) and even replaced one of my lnbs, because I was getting a drift factor on it. So I was very happy with him.
