I wonder what this could mean for D* DVRs? If they start running ReplayTV software, I might seriously conscider switching. I LOVED ReplayTV's interface.

They likely bought them for the patent portfolio. If any feature should be taken we can only hope that it will be the 100% useful & open ethernet port/use of DVArchive and the true commercial advance; but in the end the patents are the key - should provide their DVRs with legal protections.

That's what it looks like. What a boneheaded move on Charlie's part. He could have had them, and told Tivo to pound sand. Way to drop the ball, Chuckie boy.
