DishNetwork Uplink Activity Report - 3/12/2008 12:15pm - 143 changes

I see that KXAN is listed, that could be big for E* since that a LIN owned station (NBC affiliate in Austin). D* doesn't have HD retransmission rights and even a local cable system had to pull the channel due to LIN and them not coming to agreement. Wonder if that means LIN and E* have come to an agreement for all their stations HD channels?

Yeah I would think that they will mirror somethings from 61.5 to the 129.. 129 will be better I would think once they get the new Sat up for it just like the one for 61.5..

that would be nice!

Holy cow!!! We have HD loc.... ummm....errr... WE ARE UPLINKED!

One small step for E*, one giant leap for Cleveland E* subs!!

Why would they move Chicago to 61.5? Most people in the northern suburbs can't see it from about October through April (Fog).

All the minor locals used to be on 61.5, but they moved them years ago.

And when I upgraded to HD, the installer took out my 61.5 "Wing" dish.

What's UP? I can't imagine they are going to install 10s of thousands of those things.

Hypothetically, if Chiller did go live, can we stick a fork in Monsters already?

I have Chiller via C-band, it's alright but nothing to get excited about.

Remember, it's just a GP rated commercial filled channel, no where near a replacement for Monsters HD.

Chiller has shows that you can find nowhere else. Shows that haven't been seen in years and many would like to see again I'm sure. But once again it's no Monsters HD replacement........Not even close.

But I rather have it then not.

What is odd is that they already have these LiL HD on 110 spots and now they are duping them on 61.5. Dallas is already a 129 market with good signal on 129 for national HD (center of country gets 129 without issues).

Why duplicate markets that already have a good solution. I could understand duplicating a market like Atlanta on 61.5 since it is pretty far east.

Is Dish going to end up competing with itself? Will 61.5 be the start of a new service?

I sure do like all of the lil uplinked. I do believe we are in for a wild hd ride within the next few months.:)

That's an interesting channel assignment number if it is Chiller. The channel chart lists the category for that range as "Children's, Family and Educational Programming"

Well Sleuth (also NBC Uni) is at 198 and I don't think some of the programming on it would ever fit into that classification.
