Echostar 11 Update

Nelson;
Thanks for the update. I had checked Sea Launch earlier today, and they were still showing the Galaxy 18 launch as the current one.

probably 72.7 for spot beam coverage

Dish has an application in with the FCC to move the E-6 satellite to 72.7 W. E-6 is currently an on orbit spare at 110 W. It does not have any spotbeam capability. The E-8 satellite is also at 110 W and this active satellite is the one that E-11 will replace. It does have spotbeam capability but most of its spotbeam capability would be useless at the 72.7 W location because the spotbeams are not steerable so most would provide signal out in the Atlantic Ocean.

It is very unlikely that E8 would ever be moved from 110...unless it was to 119.

E7 and E8 were designed to act as spares for each other (each bird has 5 Spot beam TPs).

While E8 is currently operating in CONUS only mode E7 has the CONUS and the SPOTS lit up.

Ciel-2 will be a huge improvement over the current 129 piece of junk, I just started having issues with it coming up as having errors now for 129. I dont if more then me are having this problem, but just started like 3 days ago.
