After the latest update, my 722 does not record recurring Timers when they are on OTA channels. Non-recurring (once) Timers record fine. I haven't had the chance to do a reset to see if that fixes things, but I thought I would see if anyone else had experienced similar issues. Hopefully just a reset will fix it. If not, I will be rather unhappy as I often have to record 3 channels at once during the regular season, and the OTA recordings make that possible.

Thanks,
Ted

I record 5-a-week and Dish-pass OTA digital timers all the time.
You are trying for local HD OTA? OTA analog cannot be recorded. It could viewed but not recorded on the 921 but I haven't even tried on my 622 and 722.
I bet you have had a reset every night. (See menu-8-4 for update time.)

The 722 does not have an analog tuner like the 921 does, they cannot be viewed on a 722, 622, 612, 211 or 222. I doubt this is his problem.

Have you tried to remove them from the guide and reentering them? What does your Daily Schedule show as far as the past events? Push the dvr button three times then page up.

This with respect to timers to record OTA HD channels.

I have not had time to try re-adding the channels to the guide. Hopefully that will work as I really do not want to re-setup all my timers. I'll report back when I have tried that.

Thanks,
Ted

After deleting and re-adding my OTA locals, I experienced some odd behavior. If I setup a new timer (e.g. "All" Family Guy on CW 22.1), the timer worked just fine. However, if I re-setup a timer for something that I had previously recorded OTA (e.g. "All" Jeopardy! on ABC 11.1), it will only record the first showing, and then nothing else shows up in the Schedule. I hope L512 fixes this...

Deleting all my timers did not fix this problem. Neither did L512. This really isn't that big of a deal, but it is annoying.

I haven't tried ota timers on my 722 since I first got it before Christmas. One time timers would record the timeslot, but recurring timers would frequently drop out. The timers would be there when I was checking on Sundays (when I go through the guide for the week and also check the schedule to manually change conflicts or skips), but then the show later wouldn't record. It seemed like I would frequently get info not available and the timer would drop and not be picked back up when the info synched again. I dont watch much network tv and ended up switching my timers to the crappy dish locals that keep the data and timers just so I dont have to oversee and micromanage the timers. Its a shame because my ota signals are significantly higher.

The PQ is pretty close between my OTA and LiL locals. I have just decided to setup all the timers to use LiL. When there is a conflict, I will record ABC and FOX OTA manually to resolve conflict. They come in the best OTA. I never had a problem with the OTA timers until late June. Odd that.
