I contact E* yesterday regarding the Celtics game on 11/1 not being in HD on CSN NE. After a few run around questions I was told that the game in not being broadcast in HD. I told them that all Celtics games are in HD (home and away).

What is the correct way to contact E* and inform them that all games are in HD. I was going to have some friends over to watch the game, but the SD picture will not go over well at all so I had to tell them still no HD.

The sad thing is tonight's game on one both ESPN and CSN NE in HD.

Thank you for your time.

I would try sending an email to dishquality AT echostar DOT com. They have corrected a few programming / guide issues I have had and even reply back with an email to let you know of the resolution.

As for the CSR claiming the game is not broadcast in HD, I seem to remember they tried the same excuse with the Red Sox when NESN HD was first turned on earlier this year....

Well it did not work :( Seem E* is only showing home games in HD.

Starting on the 5th you won't see any games, so it doesn't really matter.

Dish has still not signed a contract for the upcoming year. You can thank them for looking out for you.

He is not talking about League Pass (channels 560-572), he is talking about local games (400-460).

The CSN and other regional sports channels are already contracted to Dish Network.

I received a reply to my first email that I sent on 10/31.

"We have forwarded your email on to another department who
should be able to better answer your question. The word that we have
received is that DISH Network is currently only providing HD games for
the Celtics home games. Celtic away games from CSNNE are not currently
available on DISH."

I guess half the games are better then none.

Like I said before, back in April DISH incorrectly claimed that some Red Sox games were not broadcast in HD by NESN. It didn't take too long to get that resolved so that eventually all Sox games were being shown in HD. Here's hoping the same happens here.

Hopefully, DISH can "soon" get to the available bandwidth they will need to make these RSNs full-time and eliminate these issues....

I got another reply to a my message.

"We understand that CSNNE has all Celtic games available in HD. That does
not necessarily mean they are providing them all to DISH. Information we
have obtained from CSNNE indicates at this time Celtic away games are
not being provided to DISH Network in HD. You may want to call CSNNE for
further clarification.

EchoStar Braodcasting Corporation"

I guess I will try sending CSNNE a message. I thought E* would do this....

This does not bode well for 2009 HD regional sporting events on Dish. Many regional Fox Sports Networks will be going full time HD beginning in April '09. I'm assuming that many of the MLB teams will have most if not all games in HD. It doesn't appear that Dish is prepared to handle this HD load yet.

This forum is going to light up with complaints next spring if Dish only provides "some" of the games in HD even though most or all are produced in HD.

I just signed up for Dish and was disappointed when the first Celtics game I tuned to was not in HD, then last night I learned the game wasn't even available at all! (Unless it was on a standard def. channel not included with Turbo-Silver.

So what's the case with the rest of the year? Are we goign to at least get home games in HD? What about away games? On a standard def channel? Will I receive this standard def with Turbo Silver?

Finally, what about the Bruins games? Are they available on NESN HD? I sure hope so. When I signed up they told me CSN-NE and NESN were part of my local (regional) sports networks and I woudl get all games in HD.

A big let down if you ask me. :(

All bruins games from this season so far have been in HD

Watched my first Bruins game last night in HD. Unfortunately I had a lot of tiling and poor signal with the showers (which didn't even look that bad on radar). Transponder 20 on the 61.5 bird was very low, down around 10-15. All other channels came in fine. Today transponder 20 is around 30-32.

Does anyone know if transponder 20 is where the B's and C's are typically on, and if so, should I be tweaking my dish to pull it in better?

The guide for tonight shows most all of the league pass games in hd. Just not the celtics game. The guide also shows the game on csn ne hd. Makes no sense.

In the pre season they had the an HD Celtics away game on League pass and not on CSN NE.

I have sent a message to CSN NE asking them why they do not supply E* with Celtics away games in HD. It has been a few day and no reply yet.

O well at least I tried.
