Ok, so I finally ordered dish. I have 2 HD t.v's and 2 standard def t.v.'s They are sending out the VIP 222, and the Vip 722. My only concern is that my son might screw up some recordings, as he will also be hooked to the 722. I will not have OTA on it. Now if something is recording, can my son watch a different channel on his standard def, and then could we also watch different channel on the HD set, or does one of us have to watch the recorded channel? Can you schedule two recordings at the same time from one box? If it is recording 2 channels at the same time, those, I assume are the only channels that you can watch?
Now when I do dish builder online, it shows me getting one 722, one other HD receiver, and then a standard def receiver also, which I think is what I would prefer. I called dish, and she said that would be extra monthly fee, but it is not showing extra in the price on the dish site. I am assuming the Non HD receiver would run 2 t.v's which is fine, and then a regular receiver for the other standard def t.v.
The only way that I know that is a 722, is that I still see the $50 upgrade charge.
Also, are the lease fee's for the extra receivers waived, if you keep them hooked to a phone line?
