Turbo HD? Better Picture Quality?

Does Turbo HD mean better HD Pic quality or is Dish netwoks HD pic quality still downgraded?

The picture quality is the same as before everyone had gotten the Turbo upgrade.

We call the Turbo upgarde "Charlie speak" around here.

Not all agree. There are some, (myself included) who did see some improvement, a few channels were much better than before. It is a controversial subject. However, I don't think the Dish HD PQ is necessarily going to be that much better than Direct TV, and certainly not as good FiOS (according to reports). It isn't always the "resolution." It can also be a reduced bit rate that can result in a less than pristine HD PQ.

I've heard of pc issues with Fios: picture freeze, break-up, lost sound.
