NY Rangers new coach

Sorry about that Wolf, but that one was to good to pass up. Any idea who is replacing the old coach (whoever the hell he was)?

I've heard the Rangers like to promote from within. Rumor is, Recliner is next in line, followed by the Rocking Chair. Should be interesting to see who gets the top seat! ;):D

Nothing to be sorry about I just can''t spell.
But the NHL Live crew were thinking that it would be Torts. They were real strong on thinking this. I believe that Bob McKenzie also thinks that.
I believe that there is a news conference this afternoon sometime late I think.

This is on the TSN web site.
"Sources say the New York Rangers and John Tortorella have an agreement in place that would make him the next head coach of the NHL team, but that the Tampa Bay Lightning have not yet been contacted for permission."

Couldn't they just have dragged out to the curb, like everyone else does?:D

Which type of upholstery do you think they're leaning to as a replacement? Microfiber or leather?

I traded the couch for a coach ;)

I heard the Ottoman is up and coming, and has some good ideas.:D

Sean Avery's pending return should make things interesting:

Back in December, after Avery was suspended for crude comments about his ex-girlfriends, Tortorella said: "Enough is enough. He's embarrassed himself, he's embarrassed the (Dallas) organization, he's embarrassed the league and he's embarrassed his teammates, who have to look out for him. Send him home. He doesn't belong in the league."

Glen Sather said Monday: "He doesn't have the history with Sean that we do. Over time you learn to love him, just like I do."

Rangers GM Glen Sather says John Tortorella will learn to love Sean Avery

Seriously, is this the most overblown sports story ever? He said "sloppy seconds". Sloppy freaking seconds! Why is he being crucified and treated like a leper?
I wasn't looking to dredge up that debate again, only that he made those comments about Avery and soon may have to be coaching him....
