question about regional sports package

i got the regional sports package so that i could get FOX pittsburgh channel as that is my local team. i see that all the rest as far as events go are blacked out which was explained to me by the customer service person when i got it. my question is can you pay to have certain channels unblocked?

No..... The blackouts are controlled by the Major Leagues and they won't allow it.

Basketball and Hockey can be by purchasing NBA League pass or NHL Center Ice. Dish does not have MLB's Extra Innings any longer, you would need to go to Direct tv for that.

how about MLB.com premium package? do they block the games out on that? i see they charge $20 month for that. anybody have that?

The MLB.TV package will black out live games of your local team(s). Games that conflict with the Fox Saturday baseball games or ESPN Sunday night games will also be blacked out.
