I have a Slingbox Solo connected to my 622. I use a UHF remote (6.3) to control TV1. Is there a way to get the remote control feature to work on Sling Player if I'm using a UHF remote?

I don't believe there is a way to use the UHF remote with a slingbox. That would be a big + because a lot of people would like to use their TV2 out for their slingbox so it wouldn't interrupt anyone watching TV1. And as we know, TV2 is controlled via the UHF remote.

I have been using the remote feature on the Sling Guide on my iPhone but there's quite a delay.

it is possible switch tv2 over to ir mode. I know that sounds weird but it's in my brain from somewhere. maybe you can swap which output is run by what remote???

TV1 is normally controlled with an IR remote but I was having issues so I bought a UHF remote and switched TV1 over to that. What I don't understand is why can't the Sling remote work like the iPhone remote.

I read on a different forum that the IR ports on the front of the 622 are not disabled when using UHF remote to control TV1. Anyone know if this is correct?

I just got off with Sling tech support and was able to get it to work. You can't select VIP622 as the model, though, as he said there was a known firmware issue. Instead we selected 'Other' then code 11.
