Anyone Noticed a "Criminal Minds" element in CSI?

Has anyone noticed the "Criminal Minds" element in CSI since Lawrence Fishburne joined the cast? Althought I have enjoyed the CSI genre for years (yes, we all know if it fantasy since real CSI's don't do 1/100th of the things they do on TV), I have to admit they have been getting old and stale the past year or two. I think the infusion of Fishburne and a "Criminal Minds" element of dealing with more sociopaths and serial killer types, is is big plus.

As the old saying goes, "Imitation is the highest form of flattery."

To be honest, the writers started off in that direction but they are currently playing around trying to develop character relationships right now so I can certainly understand what you're saying. To be honest, I thought the Trekie convention episode a couple weeks back was very strange and LF hasn't been featured much the past two episodes. Also, I noticed he went from being a CSI newbie to a seasoned professional pretty darn quickly - a little too quick for my liking. Anyway, I love LF and I am sure he will do well once the writers figure out his role. In the meantime, I am sure a lot of people will find it hard to accept him replacing Grissom...but perhaps that's why they are breaking him in slowly.
