It's not accidentally set to do the one WU and then stop, is it? I tried that option once just to see what it did - and it only finished one WU and then I had to start it again (without the flag) to get it folding again.
I'll run the config again but the other two machines (XP Pro) are running the SMP client without any problems.

Glad to see that your GPU client is running at full speed.:D

I'm thinking of picking up a 2nd nvidia card to run another GPU client. Anyone have any experience mixing models? I currently have a geforce 8800, was thinking of grabbing a 9800 from a friend.

Congrats Scorpion Sting! :up

I missed this one, but I was marvelling tonight at his point totals, especially daily.

I had my first 6000+ point day today (7425 points). My F@H monitor has been showing around 7500 ppd lately. I'm just running my SMP client and my GPU on one card (no over-clocking).

|-----> I don't know all of the team's history, but we could have just had our first 1 Million point week ever... Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks for the congrats bebop I get my daily numbers because I run 6 GPU clients and 6 SMP clients. Glad to hear that your new card is working ok. I figured youd have problems with not having enough power to run that new card. It has been said that you would need a minimum 450 watt psu for that card. Glad you joined the team. :up

The Folding@Home forums say that mixing different generation cards does not work well. I would see if you could get another 8800 series card if you can. I am running two machines with 2 cards in them.

Machine 1 has 2 8800GS cards and machine 2 has 2 GTX 260 cards in it.

Fold on :up:up

Yeah, I saw that after I posted here. I'm sure I can pick up a 8800 at a decent price somewhere. Just hard to passup a free 9800 :)

I have a 2nd power supply IF needed, but I'm not using it. I run up to 300 watts at full load on a 350 watt power supply. I'm probably pushing the envelope a bit, but things are working fine.

Do you run all 12 on two machines total or more?

6 machines in total:cool:
You must be 'heating' up the place. I've got to be careful to not get my office too hot with even 1. I guess I'm doing pretty average with 1 machine and 6-7k ppd.

I noticed with the 511ppd GPU WU called GPUv2 Gromacs - it works my card much more and heats it up considerable hotter 5 degrees or more. I find myself messing with the fan speed on my graphics card often. It seems like auto doesn't keep it cool enough, but keeping it at 80% is overkill for some WU's.

The three-way race to 4,000,000 points between Plazzman, SatinKzo, and myself is gotting closer to the target. It looks like I might pass SatinKzo a few hours before we reach 4,000,000! Now, that's close! We'll know for sure in another 17 or 18 days...

Uh oh. I better start up a couple more clients here at work. I think I have some core2 duo's sitting in storage.

looks like I am having some issues uploading today. Got 3 or so clients stuck unable to upload results. Come to think of it, it's been quite some time where I've had problems with both home and work clients not uploading, so I can't write it off as an ISP problem. Oh well, it'll straighten itself out.

I am having a problem with one computer (Core 2 Quad). It is running Vista Business with the SMP client. It will finish a WU but then will not download a new job. I reinstalled the SMP client twice and it still will not download new jobs after finishing one. Any ideas?
Still having the same issue with this machine. It will finish one WU and then close. I have re-run the config twice. The client is installed in a directory on the c:\ root (not in c:\program files). I have started it from cmd.exe and by clicking on the fah.exe file. Anything else I can try? Losing points overnight while this machine sets idle.
