I have owned a Dish 622 for several years and recently bought a 722. I rarely use the 622 anymore and the power supply went out last week. I am thinking of scrapping in and salvaging what I can. I pulled the hard drive, but have been unable to access it or get it to turn on. Does anyone know of what I have to do in order to use this hard drive in my computer?

The PC needs to be able to issue a spin up command. I'd get a pwr supply and sell the 622 then buy a new HDD you'd probably make money.

Any way to bypass?

Is there anyway to manually bypass the spin up command, like a jumper or something? I have already trashed the rest of the receiver. I found 3 burnt spots on the power supply and 1 on the main board.
